  • Air Quality - Air Resources Board
    Real time air quality information, with histories and maps. Data can be downloaded into different formats, as well as ordered on a CD.
  • Bill Information - Legislative Counsel
    Query full text of bills, resolutions, and constitutional amendments, and their status, history, votes, analyses, and veto messages.
  • Boating Facilities - Department of Boating and Waterways
    Search for a boating facility, and get details.
  • Bonds/Other Public Debt Issued by Governmental Entities in California - State Treasurer's Office
    Searchable database of all public debt issued by state and local agencies from 1984 - present. (Export to XLS)
  • Business Search - Secretary of State
    Find out if a business is registered with the Secretary of State.
  • California Ballot Measures Database - University of California Hastings College of the Law Library
    A comprehensive, searchable source of information on ballot propositions containing the full text of the propositions, accompanying material contained in the ballot pamphlets, related legal and legislative history, and digital images of the ballot pamphlets.

  • Education (Colleges and Universities) - Postsecondary Education Commission, California
    A form-based query system for accessing data on the state's colleges and universities from 1976 forward. Data includes enrollments, transfers, and degrees awarded and can be downloaded for further analysis.

    Get facts about California schools and districts.
  • Employment, Economy - Employment Development Department
    Query and download employment and economic data.
  • Energy Consumption Database, California - Energy Commission, California
    Database for informal reporting purposes using numerous electricity and natural gas consumption data sources. Users can generate reports showing the amount of energy consumed by geographical area and sector (residential, commercial, industrial) classifications, or, download energy consumption data to XLS or CSV formats.
  • Exporters - California Department of Food and Agriculture
    Database contains complete data on growers, wholesalers, packers, processors, brokers, and trading companies that have established themselves as suppliers of agricultural products to overseas customers.
  • Healthcare - Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development
    Access to detailed searches for licensed healthcare facilities as well as Fair Hospital Pricing.
  • Legislation - Legislative Counsel
    Provides the ability to download bill information, statutory text, and other legislative information through a flat-file database or a structured, relational database.
  • PeMS Freeway Performance Measurement System - CalTrans, UC Berkeley, PATH
    Data clearinghouse provides real-time and historical data from California freeways (requires registration).
  • Pesticide Regulation and Licensing - California Department of Pesticide Regulation
    A number of collections of data and other information related to pesticide registration, licensing, pesticide use, environmental effects, enforcement, and other elements. Some databases can be queried and searched directly. Others can be downloaded and the data manipulated with your own database or spreadsheet software.
