Governor Newsom suspended permit and review requirements under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the California Coastal Act. This allows victims of the recent fires to restore their homes and businesses faster.
The Governor signed legislation providing $2.5 billion in immediate disaster relief to support response and recovery efforts.
